So, here is the scoop. I am struggling to find some more four-letter words and I really don't want to move on to five letter words just yet!
For today's word of the day, I have decided that I'm going to venture out of the English language for a minute. The word of the day is será. It reminds me of a song that my dad loved, "Que Sera, Sera"...whatever will be, will be. In my world, it also means to be able to find peace with whatever situation you may find yourself in. My dad passed away about 17 years ago from a grade IV brain tumor, but we found this place called, "Whatever Will Be, Will Be". The drive to get there was horribly long and painful, but as the drive continued, we went through the grief process. We left no stone unturned. My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and welcomed their last grandchild. He had outlived his prognosis and he always put one foot in front of another and kept moving. That experience was written with indelible ink on my hip journey. I still struggle sometimes with this concept of que será, será, from time to time, but I also find it a place that I call home much more frequently.
Let's be honest, we all are struggling in one way or another. This is a good thing. Why? Because it shows you're human and you are living this thing called life. So, my wish for you is that you find that place where you can breathe and believe, "que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be." Hope and healing to you all!
