Earlier this week, I had a wonderful moment while combining business with pleasure. The sun was setting in Southern California. I was enjoying a nice leisurely stroll through a quaint downtown area with a friend and colleague (Courage's mother).
The breeze of the palm trees, the sound of a jazz quartet in the distance and the friendly smiles of strangers topped off a wonderful dinner. My belly and my soul were nourished.
And I got to thinking about time and the importance of cherishing the "now". In this downtown area was a sundial which was made in 1968 and was beautiful! In the last 51 years, this sundial has sat and witnessed the sun rising and the sun setting. It has seen love, courage, strength and hope of those that have passed it. It has seen the face of heartbreak and the face of sadness. But it has stood the test of time.

The message that the time dial has for us is simple. Be present. Don't dwell on the past. Move forward towards health, healing and hope.
“Time isn’t precious at all, because it is an illusion. What you perceive as precious is not time but the one point that is out of time: the Now. That is precious indeed. The more you are focused on time—past and future—the more you miss the Now, the most precious thing there is.” - Eckhart Tolle
