Recovering from hip surgery (and really any challenge) takes a mind-body balance that can be hard to master. Letting go, breathing, and quieting the chatter of your body that does not do as you wish is half the battle. Post op bilateral hip revisions have been a challenge. Yoga
breathing has helped, but was beyond excited to put my breathing into practice in a yoga class today. Doctor approved, but warned me, "You will have to check your ego at the door!" I did. I was pleased with some of my progress, but see tons of areas for opportunity in my yoga practice and that is okay! Baby steps. Keep your chin up and your mind positive!
